The Collector Record

Every original work that leaves the studio is documented, signed, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. This is the studio's promise to every collector.

Effective May 22, 2026
01

Certificate of Authenticity

Each original ships with a signed, numbered Certificate of Authenticity bearing the title, year, medium, dimensions, signature placement, and a high-resolution reference image. The certificate is your record for insurance, estate, and resale purposes.

02

Signed By the Artist

Every original is signed on the front by Rob Prior. Verso signatures, studio stamps, and edition notations (where applicable) supplement the front signature on select works.

03

Studio Archive

The studio maintains a permanent archive entry for every released work — title, medium, year, provenance, and acquisition record. Collectors may request archive verification at any time by writing to the studio with the certificate number.

04

Provenance

Provenance is preserved across resale. If you acquire a Rob Prior original on the secondary market, the studio will verify the certificate and update the archive record at no cost. Works without a valid certificate cannot be authenticated.

05

Reproductions

Limited-edition prints and reproductions, when offered, are identified as such in their documentation. Reproductions do not carry the same Certificate of Authenticity as originals and are clearly marked.

06

Verify a Work

To verify a certificate or report a suspected forgery, write to info@robprior.com with the certificate number and clear photographs of the work, front and verso.
